Having successfully retained and won a number of accounts to deliver PR, social media and marketing communications to clients across a range of sectors, Open Communications, the straight-talking PR agency in Wakefield, has welcomed two new recruits to its growing team.
As we gear up to celebrate our tenth year in business (I know, we can hardly believe it either!) we have appointed Edward Haynes, a University of York graduate with an interest in politics and sociology. Ed joins us as a PR Executive and will provide press office and planning support for clients including Ring, the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, MAOAM and Martin Walsh Architectural.
Supporting with the practical side of the business, Northumbria University Politics graduate, Anna McGuire, has also joined Open Comms as PR Administrator working across all accounts. She will assist the wider team here at the agency to deliver ongoing support for clients in FMCG, property, third sector, recruitment, retail, manufacturing and the public sector.
Emma Lupton, comments: “We would like to welcome Ed and Anna to the team. They have both settled in well and are already producing some fantastic work for our clients. The fact that they have such a diverse array of experience, knowledge and skills adds further flair to what we are able to offer.
“After winning a number of new accounts since the start of the year and retaining many of the brands that we work with, we wanted to invest in expanding the team. As well as allowing us to continue to deliver exceptional results for our clients, we also want the chance to proactively target new businesses.
“We have built up a strong reputation since our launch in 2008 and want to make this year a celebration that includes adding new members to the team and further brands to our portfolio of clients.”
Open Communications has won a number of new accounts since the start of the year including Ring, the automotive accessories supplier; First Choice Recruitment, the agency that matches clients and candidates across the Wakefield district and AD:VENTURE, the ERDF funded programme offering practical advice and financial support to start-up businesses in the Leeds City Region.
Although we are still based at Nostell Priory in Wakefield, we will celebrate ten years in business during 2018 and have plans to purchase an office in the city centre allowing us to continue to expand as brands and businesses choose Open Communications as their preferred PR partner.
