Academies can get a bad press but when Open Communications was working with OGAT, the primary and secondary schools within the portfolio were able to benefit from the agency promoting the good news that they had to share.
Managing a year-round press office, the agency made sure that the Academies within the Trust got their opportunity to have a share of voice and to showcase the talents of the students and staff from each location.
Not only did the news have a positive impact on the profile of the Academy model but also on the pupils, parents and teachers involved with the activity.
During this time, OGAT was expanding and PR was used to share the results from each of the Trusts Academies in order to attract students and reiterate the success throughout the group. Promoting good news certainly had an impact on the reputation of the schools.
